This collection of historical stories and characters from Florida history was purchased in 2006 by the Museum of Florida Art located in DeLand, Florida.
The portrayals, large works in oil colors, are true accounts of incidents and detailed biographical subjects throughout the centuries since it’s discovery in the sixteenth century.
The collection has been on display in the ornate central rotunda of the Old Volusia County Courthouse in DeLand and a rotating exhibition of one work each year at the Florida House in Washington D.C. Before being installed permanently on completion of the Legendary Florida Gallery located within The Museum of Florida Art, the collection will be on tour to selected locations.
Additional works are included every year to the collection.
